In the early 90s the first i-punkt Skateland opened up the doors. The beginning of a very special period for Hamburg. Photojournalist Jonn Rübcke gave an Interview for Place about this fraction of time. Hopefully his book about the “old i-punkt Skateland” will be released soon.
Früher war alles besser? Das sicher nicht, aber ein sehr sehr schöner Zeitabschnitt brach an als Anfang der 90er das erste i-punkt Skateland in Hamburg-Hammerbrook seine Türen öffnete. Fotojournalist Jonn Rübcke hat diese Zeit miterlebt und gibt in der Place einige von seinen Erinnerungen preis. Wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf sein hoffentlich bald erscheinendes Buch über die “alte i-punkt Halle”.

Opa pfiff einmAAL in die Finger und ein Leichmatrose kam aufs Oberdeck geschossen zur allmorgentlichen Kapitänsreinigung. Sauber Opa!

Opi war ein waschechter Hamburger Jung und noch Halbmast als Vati ihn im Alter von 14 Jahren das erste mAAL mit auf Reisen nahm.
Es war seit vielen Generationen Familientradition zur See zu fahren und er trotzte im Sturm und Drang, Wind und Wetter und es dauerte nicht lange,…
…bis er als stolzer Kapitän durch alle Weltmeere schipperte und die Häfen dieser Welt unsicher machte.
Ganz egal wie rau die See auch war, unter Deck ging es immer noch eine Ecke stürmischer zu, und während alle anderen brav in die Kamera guckten legt Opi hier in der letzten Reihe nochmAAL eine Windstärke obendrauf…
denn für ihn ging der Spass erst richtig los, wenn der Seegang dementsprechend war… Jaja, Opi hat immer alles gegeben und ist auch an diesem Abend irgendwann vor Erschöpfung eingeschlafen, denn das Leben als Seemann ist kein einfaches…
