French war so nett uns ein paar kurze Fragen zu beantworten. Das englische Original-Interview befindet sich ganz unten.

 

Wenn wir an deine Arbeiten denken, kommen uns vier Dinge in den Sinn: Teetrinken, Musikhören, Zeichnen und eine Skate Rat sein. Wie bringst du diese Dinge zusammen?

Alle vier Dinge müssen täglich erledigt werden, so sieht das aus in meinem Alltag. Ich trinke Tee, höre Metal und zeichne dabei den ganzen Tag. Zum Feierabend gehe ich schliesslich skaten, ich liebe es täglich skaten zu gehen.

Wie ist es zur Zeit in London? Du machst das Tweaker Magazine und bist kürzlich Chef von einer Skateboard-Company geworden, kannst du uns ein bisschen was darüber erzählen?

Ich habe gerade aufgehört zusammen mit Gorm an Tweaker zu arbeiten nachdem ich Witchcraft, meine kleine Skateboard-Company gegründet habe. Ich hat einfach Bock grössere Boards zu machen, mit Graphics die mir gefallen. Die müssen nicht zwingend von mir sein, das können auch Zeichnungen von Leuten sein, die ich schon immer mal auf Boards sehen wollte. Das macht irrsinnig Spass.

Planst du in der nahen Zukunft deine Arbeiten in Deutschland auszustellen? Stehen irgendwelche Ausstellungen an?

Ich hatte kürzlich eine kurze Ausstellung mit einem Vortrag in Berlin. Ich würde wirklich sehr, sehr gern bald wieder nach Deutschland kommen um meine Arbeiten zu zeigen. Es macht mir Spass dort und die Leute haben eine tolle Lebensweise. Ausserdem gibt es eine Menge schöner Skateparks & Spots. Bisher stehen allerdings keine Shows an, aber wenn jemand meine Arbeit ausstellen möchte, wäre ich sofort dabei!

 

Wann bist du mal wieder in Hamburg? Gibts da was zu erzählen oder hast du irgendwelche Empfehlungen für unsere Leser?

Im Juni würde ich gern zurückkommen mit Joxa, der für Witchcraft fährt. Vielleicht so ein kleiner Witchcraft-Skatetrip mit Astra trinken & Metal hören. Ich würde jedem eine Reise nach Hamburg empfehlen inklusive diesem Restaurant am Schlachthof (Erikas Eck, Anmerkung der Redaktion), einer Curry-Wurst mit Stefan Marx, mit ordentlich Astra überall und einer Go-Cart Fahrt auf dem Dom plus Übernachtung im Lousy-Livin Hotel!!!

When we think about your activities, four things come to our mind: Drinking tea, listen to music, drawing and beeing a skate rat. How does these things come together?

Thats just the way my life is, all three things must be done on a daily basis. I drink tea and draw all day, whilst listening to metal. After work I skate. I’d love to skate everyday.

How is London these days? You doing the Tweaker Zine and recently becomming the boss of a skateboard company, can you tell us more about it?

I actually stepped back from working with Gorm on Tweaker as I started Witchcraft, my little skateboard company. I just wanted to make larger boards with good graphics that I like. Not all my artwork, but also people I really want to see making boards. Its allot of fun.

Do you plan to show your drawings in the near future in Germany? Any artshows comming along?

I just had small show and lecture in Berlin, I would really, really love to come and do a show in Germany. Its such a fun place and people have the best way of life there and so many good skate parks and spots. I don’t have any shows planned at the moment, if someone wanted to put one on I’d be there in a second.

When do you come back to Hamburg? Any story or Hamburg recommandations for our readers?

I want to come back in June with Joxa, who rides for Witchcraft, maybe a Witchcraft trip to skate, drink Astra and listen to metal. I recommend any trip to Hamburg including the restaurant at the Slaughter House, Curry Wurst with Stefan Marx, Astra every where and also make sure you go to the fair in August and play on ther Go-carts and stay at the Lousy Livin Hotel.

He worked as a guest artist for our current t-shirt collection and is represented by the “Helldog” t-shirt. When he first came to germany to visit Stefan Marx, who is a good friend of him, we guess he was coming straight outta blackforest finding some new dark design ideas and we also expect that he maybe was the first who ever met a werewolf in these realm, it’s  the reason why he came back madly inspired – As we guess;) But actually we’re really glad to have a harsh contrast to our lemon and toast-mania going on… See pictures of Stefan and him having a lot of fun together, at his blog!
